Ironing Howard's Paris shirts

As I was boarding the plane I looked at the passengers and noticed that most of their shirts were crumpled.

Quite surprised, I quickly realize that mine wasn't.

I chose to travel with a white oxford shirt that is part of the Journey range.

To tell you a little more, the range Journey at Thomas Mason is known for what they call their “Wrinkle Resistant” to translate as "crease-resistant"

'Wrinkle Resistant'

In general, the so-called shirts “easy to iron” are because manufacturers add a chemical layer (ammonia based) that suffocates the cotton of the shirt, making it stiff and rigid.

Here, this is not the case.

The range Journey , as the name suggests, keeps your shirt looking great all day long.

For what?

The fabric receives a thermal treatment during its final preparation phase (finishing), that is to say it undergoes a very rapid temperature change passing from very hot to very cold , creating a freezing effect and fixing the fibers .

Fabric tests

I started testing with Thomas Mason end of 2013 beginning of 2014 and from the start we were very satisfied with the result.

Indeed, we are far from a simple marketing effect extolling the merits of a maintenance-free shirt , but on this product we really see a difference, lasting.

We even received the AATTC price (American Association Textile Chemical Colorist) with 3 stars out of 5 .

I strongly encourage you to try these fabrics that you find on all the basics in white and sky blue.

I offer them to you in several variations in twill, poplin and oxford .

I'll let you discover them...
