Share
I have been working since the beginning of my adventure with Monti Tessitura . This is my supplier of very long date and I find their history such beautiful that I wish today share it with you .
Their history , certainly, but also their taste , design And graphics . This is what makes them strong .
Created in 1911 , Mountains Texture is Italian excellence in the field of shirts .
These are five production sites And three textile packaging sites , scattered in different strategic locations around the world, which make up the group.
This is why I like to define in three points their entrepreneurial strategy : a cutting-edge technology , a constant innovation and a wonderful internationalization .
After twenty years of collaboration With them, I was constantly amazed by their great will has adapt structures and the strategies to new needs of the world market.
MASERADA ON PIAVE
Operational and industrial heart of the Group
I only had one chance to visit their operational center . I was welcomed in spacious spaces And bright , green , where meet my ideas and theirs. A place of inspiration Ultimately.
Located at Maserada on Piave (Maxerada in Veneto), Italian town of nearly 10,000 inhabitants, in the province of Treviso , Monti Tessitura did not choose this place at random.
It is one of the regions that has been most affected by the Great War , so much so that the city was made famous by the Battle of the Solstice , which saw the conquest of the Graves di Papadopoli, near Salettuol, by Italian troops.
Moreover, since then, the main economic activities of the city are the crafts and gravel extraction near the bed of the Piave.
Monti Tessitura employs over a thousand people to him alone.
The city itself is a reflection of the company . In search of what sets them apart: passionate combinations of colors and of weavings , in constant search for innovation .
They never stop looking for new ways.
Actually, it's quite simple.
With a tradition of more than 100 years , the House is full of wisdom . And I saw it clearly when I had the chance to contemplate their historical archives . Their evolution and especially their adaptation in the sector of fashion and of the creation in fact its main force . Thousands of designs are created every day within their teams.
But not only that!
THE design is important, certainly. But their manufacturing processes is all the more so. Monti Tessitura wants what is best and that is why our collaboration is so beautiful : they are at the fine point of the technology .
They only use dyes has low environmental impact , and do not hesitate to submit their tissues, daily, to strict quality controls .
With more than 4000 variants , their fabrics, high quality , are made with the use of single threads , double twisted and with raw materials precious And refined , such as the Egyptian cotton the most pure and the most flax prestigious from Flanders.
History
1911 : Giorgio Giuseppe Monti produces canvases with a artisanal loom . Later, his three brothers Evaristo, Venerio and Bruno organized the family business in a more complete And industrial .
However, during the First World War, the three brothers were called to arms and the company was forced to produce alternately .
It will only be in 1935 that the company will become more and more autonomous , with the purchase of the spinning mill and of Montebelluna twisting .
Despite the difficulties of the Second World War, the Monti family was able to ensure And maintain stable production .
And this is not trivial.
We are in 1947 , just after the war, Mountains Texture began to develop inevitably and has established itself on the shirt fabric market . Twenty years later, the company is at its apogee and becomes a " complete reality ", capable of to market fabrics of quality worldwide.
Today, the company is truly competitive because in constantly evolving , always able to take advantage of different opportunities offered by the global market.
This year again, their research has been very creative . My choice of fabrics for the collection Fall/Winter 2018 has in particular been enriched And inspired by their assortment of colors , their graphics , and especially the themes especially developed for my collection.
