Maison Drago Howard's Paris in collaboration with Maison Drago

History

When I created my custom-made suit service, I immediately chose the House Drago . Not only for its beautiful fabrics , but especially for the family that I have appreciated for a long time, and the relationship that I maintain with the entire team at the workshop, during orders. On this page, I explain to you some historical points of their creation at the production , to which I attach great importance and which fully justify their success. I would like to share them with you. Enjoy reading!

1973 : the founders of the Drago family created the historic spinning mill in 1973 in the Italian city of Biella , a real point of reference for the main wool mills. Since then, the company has gained a significant share of the market, becoming one of the leaders in his field and it is in 1980 , that Drago developed a network of international sales . By joining the company, sons Paolo and Daniela have, thanks to targeted studies and innovative ideas contributed greatly to the expansion of the group.

Workshop

DRAGO is a Italian house which produces quality fabrics for men. The values of Italian tradition are interpreted in modern and innovative way . DRAGO is a fully integrated wool factory. From a careful selection of best raw materials , Drago produces internally more than 1.7 million meters of fabric high quality which it exports all over the world. In addition to a strong presence on the Italian market, Drago fabrics are appreciated by the best international references , especially in Japan, Korea and the United States.

Production

As I mentioned to you a little higher in the article, Drago's production structure is located at Biella . On the other hand, the factories are located in Lessona and Verrone : the spinning department is equipped with machines latest generation and a modern laboratory for real-time quality checks on the fibers and yarns . In the weaving department, a modern framework is able to produce extra-fine fabrics ; and in Verrone, the finishing department ensures the "hand" of fabrics . It is incredible to visit and discover for those who love the diversity of fabrics and the meticulous work of artisans.

Family

The Drago family is active in the textile industry for more than 40 years old . Paolo Drago, President and CEO, leads the company with the support important of his parents Umberto and Laura, founders of the company and Daniela, his sister, who manages the administrative area. Gabriele Mellina, Daniela's husband, joined the company as IT manager, while Paolo's wife, Mirka Maron Pot, takes care of the "custom" division. This is what I appreciate about Drago: a Italian family house , which never ceases to innovate and to keep its structure "at human size " since its creation.

Management

Drago bases his strategy on innovation and the research . The House carefully selects the best wools from Australia and New Zealand, subjecting each batch to laboratory testing in order to guarantee customers the parameters of finesse declared in the fabrics. The selected fineness goes from Super 130'S At Super 210'S : of rare and precious fabric to more exclusive . The white cashmere comes from Mongolia and is used alone or with the finest wool, to complete their luxury line. Among the fibers used, there is also a beautiful selection of linen, silk and other special fibers to make sophisticated and above all precious blends! This is mainly what I look for when choice of my fabrics for costumes . Drago knows how to meet the needs of my clients by finesse and the depth of its fabric colors.

High quality fabrics

Finally, Drago fabrics contain the values from the selection of the raw material and of excellent quality of the threads that compose them. The Italian tradition wants to be innovative for lighten the weight and provide more modernity to meet the needs of the most demanding customers. sophisticated And demanding . The concern of detail and the culture quality makes Drago fabrics one of the most important choices among International Houses of men's clothing.

Do not hesitate to ask me to show you the fabrics when you come to the store, I will be able to inform you as best I can. I have a lot of references (my range of Drago fabrics is wide and deep ) both in terms of colors than of materials .

See you soon!

Frederic
