Orange jersey polo shirt
Jersey is a fine knitted fabric originally made of wool. Now made of cotton , this knit takes its name from the Channel Island of Jersey . Since medieval times, the island of Jersey has been world-renowned for the manufacture and export of its famous knitwear . Particularly stretchy and lightweight , with a flat side and a stacked side, I made a polo shirt with this beautiful jersey fabric.
The polo shirt was invented in India in the state of Manipur where, at the time, the soldiers of the British army were stationed. While visiting this country in the 1850s , the British soldiers saw Indian polo players wearing a very specific garment for this game: a long-sleeved cotton shirt with buttons on the collar points and, above all, a short throat .

A timeless and elegant Italian collar
This is the most requested collar. Timeless and elegant , the Italian collar is characterized by its flared opening . This collar is ideal for everyday use .
Versatile , it can be worn with or without a tie and adapts to any type of face . If you are looking for a tie knot idea, we recommend a simple knot or a double Windsor .
Likewise, the Italian collar is perfectly suited to wearing a bow tie .
Mother of Pearl buttons, sewn on shank
I sewed 7 buttons on it, in Australian mother-of-pearl , Mother of Pearl . The first button on the throat is sewn 6.5 cm from the second button, allowing the collar to fall perfectly . The last button was sewn horizontally to avoid the formation of a small fold above the belt. Hand-sewn in Zampa di Gallina (crow's feet sewing), the buttons are mounted on a "foot" making buttoning the shirt easier .
The added cut with side slits
The cut is fitted but it won't stick to your body. I made it so that you can wear it outside the pants . It is therefore long enough that you can take it out when you are moving or sitting . On this shirt, I did not sew reinforcement swallows but side slits .
