I have been working since the end 2013 with Thomas Mason and from the start I was very satisfied by the result.

To tell you a little more, the Journey range at Thomas Mason is known for what they call their “Wrinkle Resistant Shirt” to be translated by "wrinkle-free shirt" .

In general, the so-called shirts “crease-resistant” are because manufacturers add a chemical layer of ammonia that suffocates the cotton of the shirt, making it stiff and rigid.

Here, this is not the case.

There Journey range , as its name suggests, allows the shirt to stay impeccable all day long. And I'll tell you why.

Fabric

The collection Journey of Thomas Mason offers innovative fabrics made in the best cottons from Egypt.

The special treatment, which maintains cotton fibers, GOOD parallel to each other allows to obtain a smooth appearance , net and a special brightness .

The treatment applied to these fabrics allows limit creases after washing , make ironing easier, and prevent the shirt from wrinkling.

The selected cotton fibers are extra-long , to be spun then woven in Italy.

Fabric tests

Indeed, we are far from a simple marketing effect extolling the merits of a maintenance-free shirt, but on this product there we really see a difference, lasting.

We even received the award AATTC (American Association Textile Chemical Colorist) with 3 out of 5 stars.

Cotton fiber is spun in Italy . The same goes for the making of the fabric.

The rolls of fabric dedicated to the Journey range are then shipped to Belgium.

We apply, on this fabric, a first anti-wrinkle treatment .

The fabric is bathed in a very low temperature solution which is then completely removed from the fabric during drying.

The cotton fiber has shrunk , giving rise to dynamic properties of the fabric .

In Belgium

Thomas Mason's Belgian partner company has a single installation in Europe and industrial practice reliable and constant.

By avoiding everything pollutant discharge thanks to recovery and recycling operations , this partner benefits from the label Oeko-Tex guaranteeing the ecological character of the process as well as the absence of toxic products.

In Switzerland

After this first treatment, the rolls of fabric are shipped to Switzerland. A special resin is applied to it to preserve the cotton threads n.

Why wear a Journey shirt?

This is the shirt that combines low maintenance and comfort.

They are not 100% wrinkle-free , it's impossible.

But when you take them out of the washing machine, you just have to let dry on a hanger.

When the iron passes over the shirt, it will smooth out just as simply.

There's no secret: a beautiful shirt needs to be ironed.
